ml that David Tennant and Freema Agyeman will carry their roles as The
Doctor and Martha over to "The Infinite Quest", a 13 week animated
serial that will be a weekly segment during the 2nd series of Totally
Doctor Who. Anthony Head (Giles on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Headmaster
in the School Reunion episode, Grayvorn in the Big Finish "Excelis"
series) will star as Baltazar - Scourge Of The Galaxy. Written by Alan
Barnes and directed by Gary Russell.

This marks the first time that a Doctor Who animated story has been
made for TV.

The BBC Doctor Who website previously produced 4 animated/partially
animated stories - Death Comes To Time (Sylvester McCoy as 7th Doctor),
Real Time (Colin Baker as 6th Doctor), Shada (Paul McGann as 8th
Doctor), and The Scream Of The Shalka (Richard E. Grant as 9th Doctor).
Episodes 2 and 3 of The Invasion, a Patrick Troughton story, were
animated for the DVD release to complete the story as the video for the
episodes has been lost since the 1970s.

Series 1 of Totally Doctor Who aired on BBC One (BBC Two last 2
episodes) with repeats on CBBC. The series ran the same weeks as new
episodes of Doctor Who, and is expected to repeat the pattern this
year. Series 1 was not broadcast overseas.
